Hot off the press, for Harvard's Education Next magazine. Artwork accompanying a debate between two educators about the merits of apprenticeships vs college for graduating high school students. Which path is better?

Derby Time

An unpublished illustration for a lifestyle magazine, on the subject of next month's Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs.

Eclipse

This month's total eclipse called to mind a self-initiated illustration done a couple of years ago on the idea of "is the glass half full, or half empty?"

Transition

A recent piece for Pensions & Investments magazine, on the subject of pension funds' investments in the transition of fossil fuels to green energy.

A New Day for Homebuilders

An illustration created for ProBuilder magazine, a trade journal for the home building industry. The subject was a new day for the home builders as they recovered from, among other things, the pandemic. This is a variation of the actual cover, using an unchosen, alternate sketch.

Earth Day: Deep Dive into the Archive

A deep dive indeed; this is one the earliest pieces I did in this style, after years of painting. Politicians and industry seemed to be mystified as to how to deal with climate change when—to me—the obvious answer was, in part, blowing in the wind (to quote Dylan).
