I recently took a breather from self promotion.
No email blasts, no juried competitions, no directory ads.
No promos maybe, but plenty of assignment work.
Here are some recent pieces.

One Flavor Only

For a series of 5 illustrations for The Economist, American pronatalists' goal to churn out white babies.

Opposition in All Things

For an LDS Living magazine article titled, "Opposition in All Things," on the light/dark / good/evil in how we make choices and grow spiritually, embracing the principle of opposition in grace as well as temptation. Using light/dark as a metaphor for opposition, both figures are climbing stairs, making the choice between good (light) and bad/temptation (dark). They share a common walking stick, suggesting this is one person making a choice. A series of 4 illustrations.

The Ebb and Flow of Life

From the same series on "Opposition," a surreal twist on day/night, light/dark opposition, inspired by the need to "have faith in the ebb and flow of life and love."

Light(up) House

For Down East magazine. The pros and cons of legalized marijuana in Maine.

Data Centers

For a series exploring the rapid global expansion of data centers and how they can be developed responsibly, integrated with environmental stewardship, community values, and long-term integrity. Commissioned by my son for his Masters in Architecture thesis at Harvard University.
